  6. FIRST TIME USERS:

  8. Complete installation instructions are contained in IMLFA20.DOC.  Be sure to
  9. read that section carefully and make sure you edit the IMLFA.CFG file 
  10. so it contains the correct information for your setup.  IMLFA20 and IMLFA.CFG
  11. together comprise the documentation for the program.  Some features may be
  12. explained in both, or may only appear in one or the other.  Read them well
  13. to make the most of this program.

  16. UPGRADING:
  17.  
  18. If you are upgrading from a previous version of IMLFA, BE SURE TO MAKE A
  19. BACKUP COPY of your IMLFA.CFG file prior to installing from the new version!
  20. You will need to transfer your Registration Key and other Control Statement
  21. information to the new IMLFA.CFG file prior to running the software.

  23. You should also be aware that the file structure for stored data has changed
  24. somewhat.  If you create reports from data previously stored with another
  25. verison, it will probably crash.  (This includes the ver2.0 Wide Beta!)

  27. You should upgrade in the following manner:

  29. 1.  Run any reports you may wish to save with your current version of IMLFA.
  30. 2.  Copy the new program files into the directory where you have IMLFA 
  31.     installed.
  32. 3.  Make the necessary changes to the new CFG file.
  33. 4.  Run IMLFA -W.
  34. 5.  See the WHATS.NEW file for a list of what you get for all this trouble.
